I photographed this cactus near Phoenix, Arizona. I found photogenic cacti surprisingly difficult to find, they’re either still reaching maturity or have seen better days and in a state of decay. I also couldn't find a handy cowboy so (for a different shot) took my assistant on a shopping trip to buy a stetson for him to model in with a cactus.
